RISD Museum

Some 15 years ago, I was honoured to participate in the group show “Evolution/Revolution” in the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) Museum, curated by Joanne Dolan Ingersoll. Early work of mine – material research for Textile View Magazine – was shown literally next to a design by William Morris.

Laurie Brewer, associate curator at the Costume and Textiles department recently posted this:

The design mentioned in the post is a black-and-white dobby weave with a coating of transparant glassbeads that magnify the construction.

I also made two new large pieces for the show. In the front work by Dutch designer Christien Meindertsma.
