Workshop at LottoZero, Prato (I)

Last April, Annika Syrjämäki and I (together forming Maison du Flock) had the privilege of giving a flocking workshop at @LottoZero in Prato, Italy. A mixed group of both young and experienced artists and designers, mostly from Italy, did their first trials with flocking.
We of course had heard a lot of good about LottoZero, but reality turned out to be even better! LottoZero is a textile laboratory, residency and beehive, with a wide range of textile machinery, equipment and knowledge, located in an old warehouse.

In the few days we were there, we met all sorts of interesting people that dropped by. There was even time to visit a nearby textile recycling company (Prato has an interesting history in recycling clothing, check it out!)
Funnily, both of us have done a lot of teaching, but this was the first time we gave a workshop together. It left us wanting more! And for sure we’ll be back in beautiful Prato!!!
