Small pattern / large repeat

I’ve designed patterns on many different scales, but the majority has always been small scale. Typically those designs are used a lot for woven upholstery. A very logical step (which nevertheless took me some time) is designing small scale for larger surfaces – especially wallcovering. Sometimes it’s enough to add an artisanal touch, like a handpainted background, or small irregularities in the repeat. It’s great to see that that is being picked up by industry, both for woven wallcovering and vinyl.
