Relief effects (bis)

A theme that pops up in almost every collection I have made over the past twenty years is 3D-printing effects. The theme stays, the techniques to achieve it come and go…

It can be done with expandable inks, with foamed coatings, embossing, 3D-printing, special-screen technology, etcetera, etcetera… And sometimes miniature tromp l’oeuil effects, as on the above photo of a pigment printed fil à fil fabric.
