New embroideries

With Heimtextil and Paris-Déco-Off approaching, I always challenge myself to come up with a few new series of designs in different techniques. Right now that’s relief embroidery, 3D printing and flock/suedine effects.

Doesn’t this one look wonderfull?! Machine embroidered relief pattern on a fabric I found on a market in Paris some years ago. If you look closely you may see I used two different coloured embroidery yarns that somehow create a look that reminds me of antique brocades. Without using any metallics!
