‘Nest’ in the Stedelijk Museum (Amsterdam)

‘Nest’ was an exhibition showing a selection of work from Dutch interior and textile designers. The Stedelijk purchased two pieces of fabric; one a sheer fabric embellished with glass beads, the other a cooperation with weave designer Hélène Dashorst.

A polyester fil à fil sheer, with alternating brown and green yarn. On top of it a layer of transparant glass beads has been printed.

On a woven structure with long floats, an all-over colour has been printed. After cutting the floats, the unprinted areas become visible and add a nice graphic element.
