Burn-out print technique
Burn-out print, also named ausbrenner or dévorée, is a print technique that removes part of the fabric. In this showcase it is the cellulose fiber that is attacked; cotton, linen, viscose etc. The technique is old, but there are always new ways to use it, or new fabrics on which to apply it. Above I used a hundred percent linen and prepared it so that the fabric is stopped from fraying. The effect is like lasercut, only much less expensive in production.
