Twentyfive years of textile design

It’s unbelievable, but 25 years have come and gone since I graduated from the Willem de Koning Academy in Rotterdam.

Allthough I studied Fashion, it did not take me long to find my place in interior textiles. A Masterclass by Yunichi Arai at the Rietveld Academy in the 1990’s helped a lot; it’s where among others I met Hélène Dashorst, with whom I work and travel a lot until this day. Many people I met in those first years all helped me become what I am right now; Gunnar Frank, Bram de Vries, Lousmijn van den Acker, Milou Ket, Yoshiki Hishinuma, Beppe Kessler, Lidewij Edelkoort, Marijke van der Wijst, Marina Strumphler, Linda Reinders, Caroline Boot, Ingeborg de Roode, my teachers at the Willem de Koning, and many many more…

If health permits, I will look happily forward to another 20 years in the business at least..!

Thank you to all my clients for supporting my work in all these years!!!
